Berbick shows some decent defensive reflexes avoiding a triple jab and some other punches, while seemingly taunting the faster, bigger Page with his hands low. And he still manages to nail him when Page comes within his range and drops his jab.
You're right--there was only a 3.5 pound difference. Page's lightest weight for the first ten years of his career, but they were basically the same size.
Berbick was a good heavyweight at his best. He too was a bit inconsistent at times, maybe more form being a bit of a head case than anything else. A bit sad but i would have been quite interested to see him against the likes of Dokes, Weaver, Witherspoon etc.
