Its all smoke and mirrors by the food industry to fatten up the general public and make their accounts bigger.

The t.v industry is also to blame BC news is on 24/7 to create fear which raises cortisol levels .Its why instead of fighters coming home relaxing watching shows like Leave It To Beaver they are bombarded with subliminal messages that cause weight gain thru stress. Hense every food/ nutrition companies take advantage.

This is of course is the thread point, and thats keep it simple.Ignore the current guidelines ,eat less....cool off after a work out by watching shows like Leave it To Beaver with your one big meal a day and a glass of Ovaltine, see how it goes.

Fight the man that tricks you., before bed swig down a glass of Pepsi and some fig newtons its all the same...food is food for the athlete today. :eatingburger

    Nope, not having it.

Listen, if you train MULTIPLE times per day, you WILL NEED to recover, simple.

You cannot do a morning run, gruelling s&c session, then sparring or pads, on a single meal. You'd never recover.

The best two ways to recover: food & sleep.

Would you travel one of the country to the other on a single tank of fuel? Course you wouldn't. You refill, no different to training.

So train only once a day.

The more you repair muscle breakdown, the bigger you get and the slower you become BC you gain quality muscle.

Better off letting the body get to less healthier state and focus at the task at hand which is punching more effectively. Also one can hang out in smoke filled lounge places and really cut down on your oxygen levels and health ,look at Tony Galento?

He was a bartender in his own bar he's an ATG of his era. Being in that envirement really prepared him to dig deep and get key wins through out his career.

NOBODY trains once a day in this day and age. Nobody.

So let's say you only training Boxing, but your opponent is also doing that and S&C, the morning run etc - who will be the overall better equipped Boxer? The man doing everything.

Working stamina and working physical attributes are separate things. You only need to replenish sweat after running,Pepsi or RC cola works fine.

The man doing every thing runs himself into the ground. :babeando:

Why pepsi? Why not Volvic or Dr Peppers?

You'd actually be beer off grinding beer. Hatton trained on pints of stout. Try it.

I don't have to try it, I always included thick beers in training. And actually fighting on them which has the reverse effect in what you need .

Beer is good ,I didn't mention beer BC that sounds unrealistic.

Dr pepper is more syrup like its not a cola product.

Volvic has no nutritional value like Cola products do, its a scam to over hydrate you. Better off drinking water in limited amounts.

Have only one meal a day is perfect, you sit down and eat for a hour, go to bed, wake up running, come home and go to sleep, wake up, drink some tea and coffee, have your routine done, than you start with some fruits, than some potatoes, and finish with meat and fish.
Intermitent Fasting is perfect, you are focused all day and never have energie up and downs, because your bloodsuger is stabile!
And i feel we are made to work harder when we are hungry, when your hormones are up you just feel hungry for the succes

So, to summarise (according to Galva-idiot)...

    Wake up
    Train once a day
    Eat one meal
    Drink Coke & Beer

I hope any ELITE BOXERS are listening, because this is gold!

Nothing wrong with being over hydrated. Hydration is essential so volvic would be a better choice than sugary syrup and beer. Beer is better for after work -out opposed to during work -out. Actually Whisky is a better choice of alcohol during work outs , especially during fights. Many old schoolers were sucking on whisky water during rounds back in the olden days.

Speaking of the olden days , 50 year old Josh Brolin would never have been hired to play cable 40/50 years ago. They would have hired somebody in his 20s or 30's to play the role.

Here's Brolin in his 20's training to fight Vitali K
