closed circuit in britain

    was it popular for people to go the cinema to watch the big fights early in the morning? what was the atmosphire like

    my dad said he went to watch an ali fight but fell asleep before it started

    I don't know much about closed circuit fights but it would be great if they put some big fights on at the cinema again. Sadly I don't think there would be the demand. Boxing isn't as big as it used to be and there isn't a larger than life figure like Ali who could get people to go to the cinema until 5am.

    a lot of people watched the hatton floyd fight in closed circuit like places back in dec. hatton is the only guy who would be able to draw the interest. khan maybe

    Did they not try this with a Tyson fight a few years back. Maybe the 2nd Tyson - Bruno fight or the Lewis - Tyson fight. It was a commercial failure as far as I can recall.

    I know they definately did with tyson bruno 2. I seem to remember it not going great as well.
