Hi my first post here I thought I start an interesting thread?

The topic is most controversial or closest fights that could have gone either way? I'll begin with a few recent match ups to gauge a few opinions and also list other classic bouts and why?

    Most recently

Oscar Valdez WBC super featherweight title being challenged by Robson Conceicao in 2021. Many observers felt Conceicao deserved the decision and was robbed. I personally didn't see Valdez do enough and I used to like Valdez before his PED problems.

Canelo Alvarez Vs Danny Jacobs in 2019 I personally had this fight in favour of Jacobs out boxing Alvarez by 7 rounds to 5. The first five rounds to Alvarez looking busier but not really landing anything and then the remaining 7 rounds Jacobs stepping up and the pace and boxing better, but again Alvarez just looking busier won him the fight?

Canelo Alvarez Vs Gennady Golovkin in 2017 the first fight I felt a draw seemed like a fair decision although I can see the case for one winning over the other Alvarez throwing a high volume of punches and for Golovkin landing the harder punches. I'll leave others to discuss their rematch the next year in 2018 lol!

So a few classic controversial or disputed decision fights to mention

Joe Calzaghe Vs Robin Reid in 1999
Richie Woodhall Vs Glen Catley in 1998
Chris Eubank Vs Nigel Benn 2 in 1993
Chris Eubank Vs Michael Watson 1 in 1991
Muhammad Ali Vs Ken Norton 2 and 3 in 1973 and 1976
Joe Bugner Vs Henry Cooper in 1971

Those are the ones immediately I can think of straight away.
