Mayorga was never the same after the beating he received from Trinidad.

 

He said his hair was hard, after the fight I remember he did an interview with one of the sites and said that there was a clash of heads and that Vernons hair felt like wires.

Anyhow What made Mayorga so successful in this fight was his wild un orthodox style, he comes forward heavy handed with high pressure looping shots that come from different angles but he needs you to cooperate with him in other words he needs you to move back while he is on the attack this way you are not set to punch or counter punch.

Tito Trinidad noticed this and simply kept turning Mayorga and hitting him off of his wide misses. Had Vernon done this he wouldnt have been stopped, I do agree with the stoppage Vernon was not all there...

Mayorga was an animal good for boxing back then trash talk like no other smoking habits drinking habits just an all round bad ass :good

 

Yeah, I believe Tito ****ed Mayorga up.

However, he wouldn't have been that ****ed had he not let himself take clean left hooks after another.

Prime Mayorga would've had great brawls with Margo, Pac, Cotto, etc.

 

With Mayorga's chin and punching power, I very much like his chances against Pacquiao @ 147.

 

Speculation TBH, Margarito was calling him out, walked to the ring with Wanted shirts, Don King kept Mayorga away from Margarito. :deal

Like I said Margarito called him out from the outset after he beat Vernon and King stayed away from that fight, if it were such and easy fight for them back then why didnt they take it?:think

 

I agree that Mayorga would have given Manny trouble, his come forward style would have put Pac on the defensive which is style that crushed Manny against Morales in their first fight.
The power that Mayorga would have surfaced Manny does get hit, those looping shots are hard to see coming so if your in position you better fire or get the **** out of range.
Very hard fight for Pac against a prime Mayorga as Mannys defense has always been ****
