Clottey is on par with all of them.

I'd take Margo in the rematch,,, But he stops Berto and Cintron,,,

Clottey vs Cotto is a toss-up... not an easy pick.

    just an idea here.

but did you ever think that maybe Clottey doesn't fight like that ie so aggressive, throwing + landing lots of punches

    because he has hand problems

if you saw more of Clottey's recent fights .. such as vs Judah and Flores Clottey spent more of the early rounds playing defense and letting his opponent get off . then coming out of his shell and gradually breaking opponents down

IMO in a Marg-Clottey rematch Joshua won't fight the same he did the first time around because his hands can't hold up to such a fast pace.

I've been thinking about Clottey recently... He has the strengths to capitalize on the weaknesses of some of the other top fighters at the weight, but not Antonio Margarito. I'm just wondering what "injury" he'll be getting in the rematch.

San who do you think can beat Margarito at Welter?

hopefully in the next couple days we'll get a good discussion going regarding the Mosley/Margarito fight

as I found the pre Collazo/Berto Thread one to be very insightful and watching Berto-Collazo gave me different things to look for going into the fight.

but man how amazing for boxing fans ... Berto/Collazo followed by Margarito/Mosley a week later

hey I know it's not the BIGGEST names in the sport .. but still for HBO very very good scheduling.

The Margarito question is an interesting one. Interesting for alot of reasons, but what's first and foremost in my mind these days is the question of how much Margarito has left. If he's weakening and slowing down the way I think he is, he'll be vulnerable to whoever, really. Particularly Shane Mosley this Saturday night.

If you start a thread I'll post in it regularly during the leadup.

Bolded were what I agree on as I too question how much longer can Tony sustain fighting like that? his defense is a bit under rated, but I can't help but notice at how much more swollen up Marg's face was compared to vs Cotto to his other fights .. his eyes looked damn near shut.

and maybe he is slowing down ... as he took the whole rest of last year off post Cotto.

so this Saturday vs Mosley will be telling as Shane's got plenty of power to boot

yeah man I'll take you up on that offer. if no one else creates a Mosley/Margarito one

    i will create one.

similar format to Collazo/Berto ... who you think wins and why.

aight it's been done .. thread title "Predictions .. Margarito vs Mosley" with a poll

Clottey's size and defensive guard is what made him so much of a challenge for Margo. It's because of these 2 attributes that he was able to stand in front of Margo and successfully counter which would be suicide for most other welters. I'm of the believe that when Margo doesn't have his physically advantages then he diminishes from a supernatural force to just a mere moral and that's what I saw in the first 4 rounds of his fight against Clottey. Your accusation that Clottey's hands won't hold up again sounds more like hope to me because clearly he dominated Margo before his injury.

Are you suggesting that Margo is becoming shot? If that is so then Pac should fight him soon, we know how good Pac is fighting shot mexican fighters.:lol::lol:

I had Berto by UD which is what happened.
What I said was I wouldn't be surprised if Berto scored a late ko.

    Check your eyes.:good

No argument there. I've already posted my thoughts in how I saw the outcome. I'm obviously a big Berto fan but Collazo did win that fight.

I just needed to set the record straight because Bazooka made a false accusation about me. I guess that's what happens when people talk about his idol Margarito.
