well maybe your onto something there cuz Clottey's a pretty solid 5'8 and rugged as hell. and although he does give up a couple inches in height he certainly can match Marg physically.

and uh it's not hope about Clottey's hands not holding up .. they ****ed up once for him vs Margarito .. what's stopping them (hands) from getting injured again?

sure Clottey stood in front of Marg and unloaded shots (with good success the first 4 rounds).. but he doesn't normally fight that aggressively.

after the Margarito fight, if you saw Clottey vs Flores or Shamone Alvarez for example (guessing you didn't)

Clottey toned down the aggression and saved it for the middle rounds in both of the above fights

so don't twist what I say into me "hoping" Clottey injures his hands

when I am simply asking What if Clottey has re occurring hand issues

vs Margarito (already mentioned) Joshua fought very aggressive .. yet couldn't maintain that because of what .. o right a hand injury

so his next fights (Flores and Alvarez to name 2) he starts out less aggressive, focusing more defensively, maybe conserving his hands .. to come on stronger in the middle to later rounds (he did this even vs Judah)

is this all a big coincidence or am I making too big a deal about a fighters level of punching activity?

because from Clottey vs Margarito ... to Clottey vs Alvarez to Clottey vs Flores to even Clottey vs Judah

Joshua was most aggressive in the early going vs Margarito ... and that was the farthest back of all the fights listed above.

I've watched several of Clottey's fights and he typically isn't a fast starter. But if I were to use your logic then of coarse he would get off to a fast start in a rematch because that's what he did in their first fight. Just like it's not a guarantee that he will start fast against it's not one that he injures his hand again either. It's however far more likely that he starts fast again because that's how he was able to find success in their first go around. I really have no idea how he hurt his hand and it's more likely in my mind that he sustained a freak injury than anything else.

okay that's certainly a possibility about Clottey's hand injury being a freak kinda thing

    as it's never happened before.

I hope they do fight again Marg/Clottey just to settle things once and for all.

I think Margo would still do enough to win a UD, if Clottey's hand is fine it's more competitive, but I don't see either guy hurting each other.

Clottey doesn't throw enough punches to win a decision, Clottey's defence is good enough that Margo won't hit him as much as he did Cotto. Clottey also has a very good chin, which is why I'm picking Margo to win via decision in a fight that isn't as exciting as it should be.
