The 8-1 underdog was paid extra money to lose the fight? Where do I apply for that job?

I find it hard to believe Clottey was the last Pacquiao opponent. Feels like ages ago.

First you have to actually have some skills and be a rugged defensive fighter that nobody stops and that does serious damage to everyone who step in the ring with you. Then you have to do a complete 180 degree turn on your style and be available as a bailout for your drug using stablemate.

You are a ******* though so chances are you have never even been to a boxing gym let alone learned some skills.

To follow up my post here's one article where Clottey clearly states he'll throw 4 to Pacquiao's 30 BEFORE the fight. The way he fought was pre-planned.

And before you pro pacman people come throwing your insults, I didn't say the fight was fixed. I just knew Clottey wasn't going to win.

---Clottey himself noted that Pacquiao comes in and starts throwing punches and said he’ll be ready because, the Ghanian pointed out, “ My body can take it. When he throws punches at me I will block him and that will confuse him.” Clottey said in reply to Pacquiao’s 30 punches he will throw 4 and “the four will connect while I will block most of the 30. I will wear him down for sure.”---

It was a guy with low offensive output against a guy with high offensive output. Its a no brainer really.

Manny shoe shines with his punches. Thats why alot of fighters say it doesnt hurt until he hits you with that one that means business. Oscar and Joe Calzaghe do the same thing. They throw a 4 punch combo where only 1 of the 4 has mustard on it. Which makes it harder to defend.

Manny's punches didnt hurt Clottey because he didnt even attempt to stop covering up. Hard to hurt someone when all they do is cover.

I don't think Clottey was ever hurt. Was i disappointed in his performance? Obviously. But he pretty much fought his fight. He did the same thing against Cotto and Margarito. He could've easily beaten both those guys had he been a bit busier. It's just not in the guy. He doesn't have the heart of a champion to dig deep and push back when pushed. He's got the talent but not the mindset.

:deal Yes! He thinks since he drops his opponents connect ratio with blocking and he's got a good connect ratio he should be winning. Problem is he just doesn't throw enough when necessary.
