What impressed me most about Clottey is that he called out Berto. He could've said what everyone else saids in this situation which is "I want Oscar De La Hoya". But he didn't. He wants to establish himself in the WW division and unify the belts.

Man, can you imagine the fireworks if these two guys go at it? Two explosive, fast handed WWs. Clottey is good for boxing. :good

Berto is a easy fight for Clottey right now, it was the smart thing to call him out.

    Thats smart on his behalf.
Berto is talented but still green.
Let's say he beats Berto for the WBC.
He then solidifies himself with a guranteed fight on WCB or PPV.
One not so big money fight for a BIG money fight.

Because none of these guys are going to go for him.
He might have to take on a Collazo or Cintron First.

What's even funnier is that his first choice was Margarito. Damm, Clottey is a warrior. A huge WW just like Margarito who was imposing his will on Judah.

    I'd take Clottey over Berto.

Hell, I'm not 100% sure Forbes won't upset Berto. :yep

Very competitive but clear win for Clottey. Clottey caused a bad cut on Judah with a left upper cut and the fight was stopped because of it. But Judah fought well and didn't crumble under pressure like before. He fought hard and well but it just wasn't enough. I think Clottey would've gotten a stoppage in the later rounds. If not, he would've banked the last few rounds and won an even more clear decision.

Oh please. Is this a joke? Berto would absolutely put Forbes to sleep. What DLH sort of tried to do, Berto would finish. Let's not forget that Berto is a very offensive minded fighter. A little too much for his own good as stated by most fans but when facing a feather fisted, smaller guy like Forbes, there is no stopping him.

If I were Berto I wouldn't take this fight right now. Clottey is just the type of veteran to give Berto his first loss.

With Berto's weak ass chin I would call him out too.

I think it's a gross oversimplification to say that power is the only way to beat Berto. He's bigger and stronger, yes - and has some skill, but Forbes is slicker and more experienced and could easily find a way to make it to the final bell without getting caught with anything too huge (and once it goes to the cards, who knows...it's boxing :yep). Oscar is even bigger and stronger than Berto, and even only "sort of" trying to finish Forbes, he should've been able to what with the 3-4 divisions' difference between their respective ideal fighting weights.

I'm not saying I favor Forbes. I'm saying if he pulled off the upset, it'd be big, but not Tokyo Douglas big.

And I don't think Clottey would KO Berto either...I would favor him by decision. Again, his chin is not the only exploitable ***** in his armor.

OK, so if Berto doesn't get KTFO, he survives a wide UD against Berto by running. Happy? :good

He needs to take risks. He's 31 years old . . . no time to waste.

That would be for unification . . . dangerous fight for both.
