    fair point, accepted.

but at least some steps are made in a postive direction.

a complete... no to any test is just bull.

There is no good reason for him not to take the tests. Tyson required Holyfield to take extra steroid tests before agreeing to fight him. Holyfield agreed even though Tyson didn't have to take the same tests. There was zero proof at the time that Holyfield was taking anything. A few years later though a bunch of evidence came out that suggested that Holyfield was using HGH. The request is an unusual one by Mayweather. However, it's been done before and it should not have been a deal breaker.

Why not. The official WADA protocal for EPO is urine. Steroids can be detected by urine. HGH can be detected by urine, granted the urine test isn't very strongly tested though neither is the blood test. So unless one believes he is using archaic blood doping methods then really a urinalysis can detect any of the most commonly used PEDs. Also assuming EPO or blood doping those are traditionally used for increased stamina during the event so would both be caught by post fight blood test, and would not be found in prefight test since it would traditionally be used at most a day or so before the fight.

Wrong; using the best tests available will put a lot of peoples minds at ease. No one is under the delusion that they catch every cheat; but at least they are better than the shitty little 2 **** tests on fight night standard Nevada regime.

If you think testing urine is as good as testing urine AND blood, then I can't help you.

It's gonna be a trilogy if Pac lose tonight. That will just extend your pain.

Pac should not accept the tests.

No win is guaranteed. Even Clottey has a chance to pull off the upset, or we would all be putting our life savings on Pac. If Pac does take the tests and loses the fight against Floyd, then most people will forever think that he was on PEDs in the past even if he wasn't. That would be devastating for his legacy.

That's just one of the reasons why he should not take the tests.

This is another thing. And its even worse I mean if he doesn't beat Floyd in the devastating fashion he's beaten his other then some people will think that, and lets face it the chance of Pac both winning and not simply winning but actually winning in devastating fashion is almost impossible.

I don't think upsets help boxing. My experience is that all it does is hurt the big fights, which still happen anyway. It is exciting at the time on fight night to see something significant happen, but in the long run it is not that good. If Pacman loses, someone will spin it to sound like he has an excuse. So if an upset happens all it does it hurt boxing not help. We need legends and big fights. Clottey will never be a big fighter. What will it do if he wins? It will be more of a thing on Pacman how he lost to Clottey. People will say he was not prepared or he was not natural at 147 or not motivated. Excuses which always happen with a loss. Most people do not buy excuses. If Clottey wins tonight it will not be great. Then a guy who lost to Cotto and Margarito just beat Pacman. Boxing becomes more fragmented.
