From the news of the fight:

    Clottey “coming all-out!”

“I know who I’m gonna fight and I know it’s not gonna be easy,” Joshua Clottey said about his March 13 showdown in Dallas with Manny Pacquiao, this morning on a national teleconference. “But I am coming all-out. I’m coming to be my best and to show my power in the ring.”
Clottey did not argue about entering the ring as an underdog, saying that Pacquiao “is the best. But if I beat him, I’m gonna be top of the world. I will get respect for me and my country.”
    - – - -
On Pacquiao’s speed: “He throws a lot of punches but I have very good defense. I throw punches to cause damage. I always see my opening.”
    - – - -
On steroids: “I respect him too much (to demand further testing). He’s a very nice guy and I feel comfortable around him. I don’t think Manny Pacquiao do that thing.” Stay tuned for a full report.

Clottey don't give a rats arse what he is taking (if he is anyway) it's all good for the payday.

I'm in the "I don't think Manny does steroids but I wouldn't be surprised if he did" camp. And frankly, with the ease that other athletes have access to drugs, I wouldn't blame him since his life is literally on the line.

I know that if I had to fight Cotto, I'd take industrial grade steroids and a $1 million dollar disablity/life insurance policy.

I kinda agree. I don't necessarily have a problem with juicing. It's just the act of cheating that gets to me. I just want an even playing field even if both opposing fighters are juicing. If Pac is dirty and Cotto was clean, that would be so ****ed up because Cotto is one of my favorite fighters.

As for Clottey, he is saying what is expected of him. He's in a position to make concessions for someone who has a bigger reputation. I'm wondering if he'll change his stance on steroids if he gets ko'd by Pac

He isn't always ripped as you can see in this picture

And even if he was, it's not an impossible feat. I've never seen an out of shape Bernard Hopkins or Floyd Jr.

Won't argue there, but you know what I mean.

One reason I believe Manny is clean is because I used to be on that type of diet before, where I'd drink protein shakes before bed and when I sleep because I did some bodybuilding. I was taking MCFA oil and 6 meals a day of chicken, fish, potatoes, veggies to the point my jaw was tired from eating. I was eating about 3000 calories a day.

My energy level was off the hook and it was unbelievable how easy running, almost sprinting 4 miles was. I wasn't as ripped as Manny but I had a V-shaped torso and was cranking 255lbs bench at a bodyweight of 170lbs. I was working out 5 days a week.

Ultimately I had to quit because it was expensive to buy all that food and my shoulder got bust. So its feasible that an athlete who has been training all his life, suddenly gets access to scientific training, food and supplements and blows up like Manny does.

Actually, in a boxing match I would favor Pac. But I agree in terms of overall success and legendary status Pac is behind Bruce Lee.
