Pretty much. Clottey's win would show that every fight at WW is a toss up because of how close the talent level is. I'm excited about the idea of this fight going down.
i dont is going to happen remember williams manager is al haymon and bob arum wants no part of him allegedly
Hopefully this fight will happen next, but I'm not going to get my hopes up. If does happen however, I'm going with Williams by decision.
Reg, I'm with you in thought. These are all good fights, and to make fun of the loser or even hint at any fighter being a coward for taking/making/not making/taking fights like the thread starter has implied turns objective fans into non objective fans...at times lol.
Me too, Margo beats Clotto, Paulo beats Margo, if Clotto beats Paulo, then maybe Cotto can fight Berto, and the winno can go back to square one-o lol...
Ok then, let's revive the thread. Paul Williams Versus Joshua Clottey http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=92089
There isn't enough money available in that date for a unification match. Even if PW wanted to fight him, with what he could offer, Arum would consider it an insult and go to the media and say that PW is lowballing him.
I think PW outworks Clottey to win a decision.... but this is what boxings about, i would love to see this fight and it would help bring together this deep division and form 1 champion for the division
Now I would love to see this fight because of the contrasting styles between each fighter,I say Williams by UD.
Hell yeah Clottey.. The only thing that concerns me about Clottey is workrate.. I hope this fight happens and I would love for Clottey to win.. Clottey is definitely an overlooked WW if you ask me and as I've said months before, I think he has what it takes to be the man of the division..
