"This is the problem. I've been a Welterweight for 16 good years. If you look at me from my head to my toe - my legs, my body, are all big. So sometimes I have to train hard to make the weight. So when you stay at the same weight for too long your knockout percentage comes down. I trained too much for the Welterweight division because that's where (the best opponents are). It's not that I lack stamina."

It's mind boggling he makes 147. Has puzzled me for a while. If he tested positive for a banned diuretic substance I'd be not at all surprised. Anyway, here's some more anti-Pac controversy to fuel the drained opponent talk. Just what we need. More Pac and May **** stirring.

Damn! He's being remarkably honest. You don't expect a guy to come out and say this before a big fight like this.

Nice straight talking interview interesting that he cannot make 145 but he can make 147.

well the low KO ratio definetly won't help him at all, plus the fact he will no chance in hellllll win a decision over Pac

I've always read the last 5 lbs is the toughest. So, add two more? Understandable.

I thought a catch weight for the 147 title was a farce.

I don't buy this. Maybe the stamina part, but a lot of guys kill themselves to make weight and have great KO percentages.

At least you are admitting it was a factor. Not ssaying he would have won. But I think he would have had a better showing for himself.

yeah, it is stunning Clottey who is a big 154 lbs fighter is able to make 147. I believe if he ever stopped working out, lets say for 1 month solid, he wouldn't be able to ever make it back down. I am surprised Arum hasn't moved him up to 154, where he could fight Cintron, Mora, and possibly Chavez Jr. should Arum ever decide to throw him in with someone better than a tomato can.
