    He's right and he's wrong.

Pacquaio isn't Superman, he's Superhuman. Ah, could resist.

I'll pick Pac in a close decision. Clottey doesn't have the firepower, speed, or countering ability to win. If he plays defense and offense he can win, though.

Clottey stands a great shot. Pacquiao's power will not surprise him the way it surprises most smaller guys who are used to getting hit by other smaller guys. Clottey is used to getting hit by guys who hit just as hard as Pacquiao. Clottey's conservative style will suit him well against Pacquiao also. Manny's elusive side to side style will be less effective against Clottey than most because Clottey doesn't load up on punches, or take big risks, but rather stays in the pocket and throws short, accurate punches, all while covering up very well. Those normal shots down the middle aren't going to be there so readily for Pacquiao, and if somehow they are, Clottey's chin would be the one to stand up to it. Pacquiao would be wise to expose Clottey's weakness (the championship rounds) by pacing himself early, as opposed to his usual fast starts, and build up an accumulation of punishment with efficient combinations over several rounds, before turning it up a notch in the late rounds.

    Pac picked the wrong guy.
He is going to run into a brick wall.
    Even the juice wont help.

That much is true. Pacquiao has lost the element of surpise when it comes to his Welterweight power. That was a significant factor in his last two victories. They never knew what hit them, so to speak. Clottey knows what he's up against at least.

Admit it, you were never a Pacquaio fan. If you're smart you should know that power doesn't always win fights. Clottey is a defensive boxer. His defense is underrated. Wow, you really think that Clottey is a cherry picked? :patsch Asking a light-weight to fight you at 145(not making the weight and changing the contract) is cherry picking. :patsch

Nothing bad to say about Clottey. Never had a problem with him, he's a good fighter. Not the fight I wanted to see but obviously I'll watch.

Most fighters seem to become disillusioned when fighting Pacquiao and unwittingly try to chase him, only to walk into an ambush. Clottey does not give chase. He instead walks his opponents down and presses forward calmly and consistently. Pacquiao will not be able to press Clottey backwards, and Manny's own inability to fight going backwards will not bode well against the much bigger and stronger fighter.

    This line again?

OK. Let's wait for the fight and see if it works this time.

Not saying that MP will steamroll over him, (Clottey IS a tough match up)

But that particular line has been said since 2003.

I used to use that one, too. Pac's definitely improved in that department.

I'll go with Pac by UD.

Pac is going to take a rather wide UD. Clottey isn't active enough and while he's tough, he doesn't have the stamina or the firepower to go down the wire with Manny.
