The first offer Goosen made to Clottey was S250, 000 to fight at 154. Ridiculous! Not sure where the $650K number comes from. According to Rafael's ESPN page this morning the offer currently stands at $500K. Clottey has to take a fight with PDub on short notice, move up one division, and take a relatively small pay day for his trouble. Williams is not avoided. The real problem is Goosen has down syndrome!

If this is for the December 5th date, then Clottey has absolutely every right to say no. You can't expect someone to take a fight on this short notice; training camp should have already begun.

Didn't Clottey said he would fight Williams on a short notice? :think And Williams will be on a short notice too to prepare for Clottey.

Not sure how much he normally makes is relevant. They're asking him to move up one division, and fight Paul ****ing Williams on short notice, and THAT is not worth the risk at $500K.

Williams has already hit training camp, last I heard. Remember, Pavlik and Williams were both in their first week of training when the fight was cancelled.

Why would it be short notice? Shouldn't Clottey have been in training for the Quintana fight until it was canceled only a week ago? Clottey and Williams are in the same boat - a December 5th prom with nobody to dance with because of Pavlik's alcoh...hand injury . It makes sense to arrange a fight with each other.

Yea Williams has already hit training camp but he was preparing for Pavlik. If he face either Clottey or Martinez next, it be a way different styles. Just cause a fighter has been in training camp don't mean they can continue to prepare on a fighter. To prepare for another fighter on a short notice will be like Williams is going to start over from scratch.

The other guy just mention, Clottey vs Quintana was a done deal so don't you think Clottey was in training camp already as well?
