From the main page: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=22474&more=1 J.S: If that did come about, though, and they asked you to fight at, say, 145-pounds, would you do it? J.Clottey: That's never been talked about. Bob Arum got him to agree to fight at 147, and I want to thank Bob Arum for that. If I had to [come in at 145] I don't think I could really do it. I wouldn't want to drain myself. Boxing is dangerous and I wouldn't want to fight while weakened.
Imagine Clottey decides not to face Pacquiao because of a catchweight. Then Mayweather ends up taking on Clottey on March 13th. It would certainly add to the drama for the potential Mayweather Pacquiao bout.
Not really. On one side we have the promoter, the trainer, the opponent all saying 147, and on the hand the lawyer saying 145. Who to believe?
I hope PAC doesn't request a catch weight for this welter weight fight. Just allow Josh to come in within the limit,.....no stipulations. He's the WW champ so he should fight at the WW limit if he wants to defend the title at WW.
We have had 2 people in the manny pac camp saying it at a catchweight:rofl:rofl As usual something is up.
I would assume that the PBF was ****ed up enough and Arum wouldn't dare to pull any crap on this one. I would assume this...
Clottey said he just got over to the US from Ghana to sign the contracts, the article is dated today but idk when the interview took place. So it seems very close to being signed but not confirmed to be signed that I know of. Clottey said after he signs it and they have to do a press conference he is going straight into training, said he already has been running.
Im not sure what I want to happen. I really want to see Pac/PBF like everyone. I am also a Clottey fan, although I think Pac willwin a close decision, I am not sure if I want Clottey to win or not. On one hand its nice cause he seems like a nice guy on the other it makes PBF/Pac less likely to happen.
