Clottey softened Cotto up for Pac. Why did it take Pac 12 long rounds to TKO Cotto?

Although he was running the last half of the fight like a gazelle running from a lion in the wild, Cotto fought with more passion and skill than he did when he fought Pac. It is obviously clear that the Clottey fight took something out of Cotto that was gone by the time his 145 pound weight drained corpse arrived into the ring to fight Pacquiao. He looked sharper, faster and stronger in the Clottey fight than he did versus Pacquiao. How it took Pacquiao 12 long/hard rounds to get a chinny weight drained fighter out of there is beyond me.:patsch

Money would have obliterated Cotto that evening similiar to the way he did Gatti.

Cotto was running for 4 rounds which made it hard for Manny to get the KO. Ultmately the fight should have been stopped in 8 or 9. Cotto wasn't drained for loosing 16 ounces. and Cotto was better than he was for Josh when he lost to PAC.

LMAO. Yeah, the way he obliterated Ricky Hatton quickly...Oh, nevermind, that was Pac. The way he ripped apart DLH, and won every round...Oh wait that was Pac too :huh
Now I know! Mayweather made Marquez move 2 weight classes to fight him, didn't even make the agreed weight himself, and outclassed that little fool! Of course it went the distance for some reason though.
The man would knock Cotto through the damn ring, but couldn't keep Marquez down. Mayweather is badass

Incredibly wrong :verysad Cotto was much better prepared to fight against Pacquiao than against Clottey. At least Pac knocked Cotto down and tko'd him while he was trying to survive. Clottey never hurt Cotto and lost the fight.

I think a more relevant question is why Floyd Mayweather fans want so desperately to discredit any victory or performance of Manny Pacquiao?

The same reason why a Christian entertains a spiritual debate with an atheist. People who are enlightened with the truth want to convert the ignorant.

Big difference between running and boxing. Money doesn't run. If you know anything about boxing and have seen his fights then you would know that Money stands his ground and is a great inside fighter in the pocket. Cotto on the other hand is notorious for running. Against Mosley, against N'Dou, against Margarito and against Pac.
