Clottey softened Cotto up for Pac. Why did it take Pac 12 long rounds to TKO Cotto?

Pac couldn't take out that same lightweight either yet he TKO'd Cotto. Imagine what Money would do.

Pac and Marquez were featherweights when they fought plus May had a size advantage, weight advantage, speed advantage, etc. **** he should've toke him out!

When May and Pac were both 16 they started out at the same weight so enough with the excuse that Money is some sort of giant compared to Pac.

You could also say Cotto took everything from Margarito:good Margarito would never be the same again, mark my words if he gets his license back and steps with an elite fighter.

Well maybe it took Pacquiao "12 long/hard rounds" because Cotto wasn't shot. That's just your assumption. Clottey didn't hit Cotto as much as Pacquiao did...keep that in mind. This is a ridiculous thread anyway. three months later, people still are trying to find reasons why Cotto got beat. Cotto just got beat by a better fighter. Another point - another ref could have stopped the fight in the 9th, so it wouldn't have went "12 long/hard rounds". And last but not least...did you watch the fight? Did you notice that Pacquiao put Cotto on his ass TWICE? The only reason Cotto survived after the 9th was because he was hauling ass.

He was much better prepared for Clottey...

And ran like a ***** from the moment Clottey gave him 30 free shots and then told him "quit playin"

But you are right about one thing... Pac whipped his ass good. I don;t know if I agree that Clottey softened him up, but you gotta admit he took a lot of punishment from Clottey.
