I don't think he had enough time to prepare himself for this fight , he got notice somewhere around 3 weeks into Jan ..and the fight is two weeks into March with February being a short month . Most fighters need at least 10 to 12 weeks to prepare for a fight of this magnitude , I believe physically he always stays in shape ,but mentally you need more time ,he was even shock that they even call him ...Wow Im fighting Manny Pacquiao ...boxing is a game where you need to have both (Mentally --Physically)

Funny how he still managed to double his purse in BONUS money and secure a possible title shot at 154. He did this throwing few punches against a VERY hittable Pacquio. Hmmm....

Truth to say that sounds like an excuse. But I have never seen Clottey fight that bad before.

Not even against Margarito. And it wasn't about what Pac was doing. It was more about what Clottey was not doing. Because even with the little he did, he was effective enough to cause damage to Pac.

He really looked like he was not in the fight and I have been wondering why.

Pac is good, but even his offense couldn't break Clottey's defense, that was said even before the fight and Pac's and Floyd's fans didn't believe that. The issue was how little offense Clottey gave, even when he had the chance.

He looked like he just wanted to survive and apart from the Margarito fight he claimed to have hand injuries in, I have never seen him fight to survive. Infact, he did more against Margarito with supposedly injured hands than he did against Pac and Margarito threw 1675 punches at him, Pac threw 'only' 1200.

As a human being, he probably did good for himself, very little damage taken in the fight for his paycheck but as a boxer he did himself a great disservice.

He really needs a few good wins, infact he needs spectacular wins to be anywhere near where he was before the fight in terms of market value.
