Clottey was so devastated by the narrow loss that he screamed after the decision, "Oh no! This can't happen." Then he went to Top Rank promoter Bob Arum and said, "That's it, I quit, I'm done with boxing. I can't take it anymore."

Arum told Clottey that he fought "a magnificent fight and you have to continue."

    ...

Pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao spent the fight sitting next to Arum, who promotes both fighters. Arum said his priority is to put the fiery Filipino champion, who is coming off a devastating knockout of Ricky Hatton, into the ring with Cotto next.
"It showed me that he and Pacquiao is a dead-even fight," Arum said.

Just saying that out of frustration...He'll fight again, he just needs to be more active if he wants to win these close fights - so simple yet so difficult for him to comprehend?

Bottom line is Clottey COULD have won the fight but he clearly DIDNT and he can only blame himself.

Cotto doesnt deserve to be dis respected, he did enough in the end.

I hoenstly don't blame Clottey for how he feels.

    Again, 114-113 Clottey.

Of course Cotto fanbois will just attack me ad-hominem.

That being said, he will be back. He's too good not to be.

HMM. I told you cats that Arum didnt want the fight with Floyd for Pac. I also told you cats that Cotto would be the most likely of the three to land a fight with Pac. You just watch and see. that fight will be made. WHY??? Because Arum is a snake and no matter which guy wins he wins.

Cotto Vs Pac coming this fall:good

Whoever thinks Clottey won needs to watch the fight again. Dont get me wrong it was close but in the last 3 rounds where Clottey could have stepped on the gas to nail victory he decided to prance around and do **** all. He didnt do enough to win. Cotto is a warrior man he could have easily pulled out with the cut early on but no he carried on. You gota to respect that.

Of course he wants Cotto. Not only is he the easiest fight of the three for Pac, he promotes both of them so he doesn't have to share the pie with Golden Boy or whatever outfit Mayweather is running with these days
