Yep, this is what HBO and Arum wanted. Same with NYC and the fans.

I feel bad for Clottey, but he'll be back.

His statements are indicative of why he lost. He has everything it takes to be a champion except the heart.

I now favor Pacquiao against Cotto...even at 147.

"It showed me that he and Pacquiao is a dead-even fight," Arum said.

We know what he plans.

I called this one right on the button.

Clottey by slight edge but Cotto would get the decision thanks to the "home town" advantage.

I like Cotto but honestly think Clottey edged this one out.

clottey impressed a lot of people tonight so quitting would not be a wise decision.

arum said about some time ago that pac can fight and beat anyone except cotto. now he is thinking of pitting the two of them and thinks it is an even fight? sounds like he wants to cash-in on cotto before he leaves the house.

He's emotional right now so this outburst isn't surprising. I'm sure once he allows some time to pass that he'll reconsider. He put on a good showing tonight in front of a packed house so I doubt that this was his last big fight.

That has been obvious before this fight.

Clottey didnt throw that many punches on the last few rounds because he was worried of getting caught by a left hook. Thats what Clotteys needs to get to the other level, give more than he has on tank like Cotto did. HE was more worried of not getting tired and didnt capitalize when Cotto was almost dead. If you re watch the fight Cotto was counter punching in later rounds when Clotteys was more active.

Yeah, I had it 115-112 for Cotto. I think Cotto could have stopped Clottey on the rope a couple of times if he had continued to pummel him. The first round 10-8 round helped a lot, but on my card I thought Cotto won ever without the 10-8 round. If not for the cut, Cotto would have on even bigger, perhaps a TKO or KO. Clottey's acting made me sick.

While giving an admirable performance through the first nine rounds of the fight, Clottey nevertheless erased a lot of the good will he built up by some of his flopping and the fact that he gave away the last three rounds basically.

As for Pacquiao/Cotto, I am trying to temper my feelings a bit given that Cotto fought tonight so valiantly with a gruesome cut. Still though, I view this as a more winnable fight for the Pacman than I did before. I won't go so far as to claim Pacquiao will crush him, but I make it fairly even as to whom I would pick.

clottey won it for me 114-113, and i was neutral on this fight. Too bad cotto got the home crowd and the ref on his side
