Just watched the fight last night and I couldnt believe how easily Clottey ran over Corrales. Clottey should have knocked him out though. Clottey does have hell of a defence but leaves his guard so far up that his ribs are totally exposed and Corrlaes just stood right in front of him the entier time when he should have been turing and going right for his sides.:bbb

Like i always say, Clottey is a lier, a cheater, and B level fighter with a lack of heart.. **** HIM....

Againt Chico, he came in as a supermiddleweight on the night of the fight ( 170lbs ) and he still failed to knockout a former lightweight... lol that just shows what kind of fighter he is... He's clearly not an elite fighter...

    Because he didn't KO Corrales?

Clottey isn't a puncher. He is also barely breaking 50% KO ratio.

NO, not just because of CHico...

I question his heart, label him a cheater, and a B level fighter based on his fights against Guiterrez, Margo, and Chico....

He didn't exactly look like an elite fighter against Shamone Alvarez either.

    If he can make 147...

but you never know, some fighters like to do unofficial weigh ins fully clothed sometimes.

Yeah. He has has a hell of chin, Clottey, but it might be a whole different ballgame when cotto decides he wants some Prime Rib

That night he couldnt slug either. He had nothing on those punches he was throwing compared to Clottey.

I disagree. IMO he got the draw against Margo.

Chico had just come off of two losses. First a KO loss to JLC, and then a tough SD loss to Casa. And to top it off, he jumped up from 135 to 147(SSM/Pac style) to face a Clottey who came in the ring weighing 171 pounds. Yes, Chico weighed 160 on fight night, but he had never fought there before, his body didn't look too good IMO. His movement wasn't right. I honestly believe the two losses before took his confidence away, and the weight affected him too. A welterweight bout at 147 & a fighter is coming in weighing 171 on fight night, that $hit is f_cking ridiculous. Yes Clottey looked good as usual, but overall, this win is equivelant to Darchinyan beating Arce. Anyways, here's the fight:

I disagree. I had AM winning 7-5. I gave Clottey the first 4 of course. And then it was like round 8 or 9 where he came out throwing that left a lot, and landed some great counters. But I still gave the fight to AM.

they both weighed in very heavy on fight night and i think corrales was even heavier. gary shaws a damn fool for matching chico against clottey right out the gate. chico had never faced anyone near that size prior, he should have fought a much smaller, b- or c welter to see where he was after the tough fights with castillo. i hated to watch that fight and even if chico were still alive, he would be a shell of a shell of his former self. watch the after fight interview, he was mentally and emotionally crushed that night.

If I'm not mistaken, he fought Chico at a catch weight of 150. Chico himself came into the fight 160+.

If Clottey has a good chin then you would think hed guard his body more?

Cottos gonna turn and eat that body up. Hopefully Cotto can stay away from squaring up right in front him and not get caught with uppercuts. :bbb
