I couldn't think of any possible outcome other than Clottey battering Corrales.

I get why Margo won because he broke some kind of a record for most punches thrown in a fight. Consequently, I don't have a problem with the outcome but have always argued that had Clottey never sustained his injury that he would have won easily. The way I saw it was most of Margarito's punches were blocked. I've said this many times before that Clottey performed much better in the rounds that he won than did Margo in his rounds because of cleaner and more effective punching.

Maybe Clottey should be the one to rematch Margo in Mexico.

Chico was dead shot when that fight took place jumped 2 weight classes up far from his best weight class was coming in from been knocked out in 4 rounds against Jose Luis Castillo.

Clottey is the natural WW not to mention a big one came on fight night almost at 170!!! and couldn't even stopped Corrales which i was expecting him to do but did gave him a beating.

Yeah, I said the same. The hand thing f_cked him up alot. And he did land the cleaner punches in the fight. Bu just for the fact that I know how refs are they like activity, and the fact that AM was the champ, I knew for a fact even if he would've won 6 rounds clearly, he wouldn't have walked away with that belt

I wonder if can make the assumption that Castillo and Mayweather hit harder the than Clottey?

P4P power, I would say yes. But a Clottey weighing 171 on fight night, of course he hits harder in general. But p4p bodyweight to power ratio, PBF hits harder.

Corrales could have come back from that loss. He was just in with a very good and very tough welterweight for his first time in that weight class. He should have tested the waters against someone else.

I'm not sure about that. His confidence was gone for sure. When things like that happen in life(especially sports), you lose love for whatever it is you were pursuing. I'm not sure he could've came back, possibly, but not sure. Dude just didn't look motivated like he used to.

He should have taken a fight at 140. I would have loved to seen a Chico vs Hatton.

He needed a tune up/confidence builder before any fight with an elite fighter.

He was a really good fighter. He was good, only lost to elite fighters. He was very tall and fought at 130 most of his career. He was really good.

No doubt. This is what I thought he would have done, but to move up to 147 and fight a top guy was not in his best interest. This blame goes to his management. He was definitely great to watch and I will never ever forget the Castillo fight.
