Does this not seem about right? Clottey is clearly a top 5 welterweight and Berto is en route.. if not there yet... It would be a another step up for Andre and title shot for Clottey, who could parlay a victory into a rematch with Cotto or possibly a bout with Mosley.

I think the fight is tougher than most think. Berto is built better for boxing. His footwork and handspeed would give Clottey fits. He just has watch out for that massive head.

Clottey would knock Berto out, no doubt about it.

Yeah but he doesn't counter well. Clottey would block most of what Berto throws.

Berto doesn't have the power to hurt him either.

I think Berto would have a much better chance against Cotto.

Clottey doesn't have the power to knock Berto out. This looks like an even match-up to me at this stage of Berto's young career.

    Experience: Clottey

    Speed: Slight edge to Berto

    Power: Berto

    Footwork: Even

    Defense: Clottey

It would be good for Berto to beat Clottey and then possibly get a shot at Mosley or Cotto (if he's still in one piece after Pac smashes him).

berto has a slight edge in speed only after clottey fades in the mid-late rounds.

No doubt about it??? He's maybe had 2 knock-outs in the last 5 years. He would probably out box him, but not get the KO.

Yea i guess it seems right. However, i think berto beats clottey in a split decision.

Also, I'd like to see clottey meet P. Williams at 154, which clottey would also lose.

Yes, he would. Berto is not a good defensive fighter and Clottey would manhandle him. I'd put $$$ on the UNDER in this one.
