    ""No, I'm your daddy, *****.""

Perhaps the worst comeback in internet history??? I'm struggling to think of worse.

Manny Steward himself started off, almost disenchanted by Cotto – he couldn’t find reason to give him credit and thus his scorecard was probably negatively impacted by this – as the fight went on, he started to admire Cotto more and said that maybe a few of the closer rounds would have gone to Cotto.

It’s basically shades of Calzaghe vs Hopkins again. Hopkins landed cleaner shots but took too many rounds off, Clottey landed cleaner shots here but took every second round off, when you do that for 12 rounds and split 6 of them with your opponent and he’s knocked you down once – you can’t win.

Steward was a disgrace last night. That first comment when Cotto knocked Clottey down 'It was his only clean punch of the round' made me raaaaaggggeeeeee. Absolutely sickening behaviour from a so called boxing expert.

I figured something was amiss when they read a couple of the judges names' (Don Trella & John McKaie) and a friend of mine in the hotel industry instantly recognized them as names Bob Arum goes by when checking into hotels when he wishes to remain anonymous. Merely coincidence? Who knows?

Who has Manny Steward trained to be a great champion?

He got Lennox, Hearns and Wlad when they were already strong boxers. What happened with Andy Lee?

You ARE a DISGRACE to this boxing board and a DISGRACE to boxing fans everywhere.

I said Manny was a disgrace that night, which he was. I've never seen him NUTHUG THE **** out of someone so bad. His OBSCENE, STRONGLY BIASED commentating was absolutely SICKENING to listen to.

    Comments such as

'The only clean punch landed the whole round'. What the **** was he on about? ONE CLEAN PUNCH? The guy needs an eye test.

'Miguel is getting frustrated as he is behind on the score cards and threw Clottey to the ground'.

What the **** is he on about now? Behind on the score cards? What did he do? Cosy up to one of the judges between rounds and take a peek at the scores? Threw Clottey to the ground? Cotto doesn't want no fighter leaning all over him. All he did was stand upright and push Clottey away, who fell like a SACK OF **** to the ground. He then openly goes for the Sympathy vote which cuts some SERIOUS mustard with Steward.

Calzaghe1979, you are one of the WORST POSTERS I have EVER seen on this board. You don't do **** expect CRY LIKE A ****ING BABY about Clottey loosing a SD in a very close fight. Seriously, man the **** up, come off the breast milk and see the fight for what it was - a close affair where Clottey failed to wrestle the belt from the champion, Cotto.

    Nah.

Everyone at my place had Cotto winning, Ledderman had him winning, and 2/3 judges had him winning. I had him winning by 2: Cotto-6, Clottey-5, 1 even rd (10th), 10-8 in the 1st.

116-111 was a bit much, but the right guy won.

What was up w/Clottey trying to quit--TWICE? He did the same thing against Margarito (though I had him winning that fight, 'injured' hands and all, comfortably).

Its hard to see giving Clottey any more than 6 rds in this fight. Holding your hands up and getting hit on the gloves doesn't win you rds. He had a cut guy in front of him from rd. 3 on and failed to take full advantage of it. He blew it, bigtime. Around rd 8 I really thought Clottey was on his way to an easy win, or possibly stoppage, but then around the 10th he just stopped. How many more chances does he think he's gonna get?

Clottey just didn't go for it, and he disappeared in the last 2-3 rds. Way too cautious.

Big props to Cotto for persevering under some very tough circumstances, and for taking such a hard fight to begin with.
