clottey is a verry tough challenge for cotto.but cotto will overcome it in my oppinion,i got cotto sd
on this one my gut feeling first response is the same as my more articulated, measured assessments: cotto is too active, too quick, too busy, too sharp, too complete a package and clottey, while he is one of the toughest *******s in the game and will not be stopped, just doesn't do enough, isn't busy enough to have much hope beyond landing one big shot in the dark counterpunch. cotto, in my opinion, will just outhustle clottey and have him looking at punches from so many different angles he will struggle to get going. cotto does have to be careful though. clottey is a dangerous man from bell to bell. cotto better not get too close to clottey when clottey's back is against the ropes, that is where clottey's big counters happen: a huge right uppercut or a straight right hand bomb. if cotto tries to stop clottey, if he presses him too hard, too close or gets sloppy dropping bombs he could open up just the right spot for clottey to hurt him badly and change the complexion of the fight. cotto is the complete package and i expect him to take this one. however, there is this mess with the falling out with evagelista that might have miguel off-balance in camp. if cotto ends up poorly prepared, stressed out or lacking focus...he just cannot give any advantage to clottey. if miguel brings his whole a-game he should cruise to an easy victory behind the left hook off the jab, flurries of short shots and that left hook to the body to keep clottey turning and thinking twice about opening up to throw big shots. however, if cotto brings a lesser game, he could end up in a grinding mash-up with josh clottey and no one, in any division, anywhere, wants to find themselves in that position, a place where athletic and technical advantages count for less than the big brass balls and iron jaw clottey brings into the ring. even still, i'll be shocked if cotto doesn't pull himself together get down to training, straighten out his team and take this one comfortably.
Thats nothing to bring up. Cotto has essentially been training himself the last couple fights, so he actually should have less distractions then normal with his uncle out of the picture. Respectable analysis, but you are greatly underrating Clottey. I think that Clottey's accuracy and handspeed are on par with Cotto's however, and in any case a "comfortable cruise" are not in the works for Cotto, no way. Clottey is not easy to befuddle, hes an extremely good improvisational fighter, if something is not working he will change his tactics, which is part of why he is so good, and I feel he will be the victor. If he wins Cotto will have to work hard and gruel his way to a victory, barring an extreme event.
