I think Cotto by 8-4 or 7-5 . Clottey is NOT getting KOed by the noticeably smaller Cotto as he has a granite chin and good defense but he will get outworked.

 

style makes fight and margarito had the style to beat cotto although i didnt thinks so but it happened its reality but clottey style will suit cotto and i see cotto stopping him late

Dude, Clottey has a granite chin and is a huge WW. Margarito, despite throwing 1600+ punches on Clottey, never once stunned Clottey. Doesn't that say it all?

 

You mean the high guard? I don't know if I would say that Clottey's style suits Cotto. Clottey explodes with lead left hooks and right hands, Clottey is an excellent counterpuncher. He's also extremely durable and could play give and take with Cotto all 12 rounds, easily. Cotto got frustrated with the feather fisted Urkal, I could easily see Clottey catching him and getting Cotto in serious trouble, possibly KHTFO. Cotto lunges, Clottey eats lungers.

 

but margarito does not have cotto's power he just wears you out with pressure and clottey lasted with him cause he was able to with stand the pressure at the time but it wasnt the same pressure margarito had for cotto to me margarito over looked clottey at the time but if they fight now margarito will wear him out by the ninth and clottey would not take cottos combos the way margarito did

 

Cotto by UD. FYI Clottey does not have a great chin because he has that Winky Wright defense so nothing lands cleanly on his face.

Why do you think he was able to walk down Cotto but not Clottey? Because Clottey is just as big as Marg while Cotto is noticeably smaller than Marg.

 

Cotto smoked Zab? Cotto clubbed Zab to death with hundreds of shots - mostly left hooks to the midsection (and lower), and it still took him 11 rounds to fully break Judah down. Cotto almost got smoked by Zab. Judah threw less than 10 punches a round in that fight. Cotto smoked a human punching bag.

And you said that Cotto is a bigger hitter than Margarito? NOPE. Cotto looked like an accordion when he got hit with Margarito's first body shot. That was the most power Cotto has ever taken or given, and he felt it in his bones. Cotto hasn't doubled anyone over with a single body shot right from jump in years, if ever.
