Floyd was knoced down and buzzed in that fight. That counter right knocked him backwards and his glove clearly touched the canvas. By rule, that's a knockdown. There was another instance where Zab caught Floyd clean with a straight left. That forced Floyd back to the ropes, where he covered up. More than likely, that punch buzzed him.

He did knock Mayweather down. And I never said he hurt Mayweather but he definitly stunned him atleast once.

And Judah was knocking him around those first few rounds.

I've been watching Zab for 8 years now, and I watch a lot of boxing. I know Zab will often stop throwing punches when his opponent is pressuring him and landing. He was getting hit with a lot of clean, accurate punches. His nose was busted, and his activity steadily went down. His corner implored him to throw more punches, yet he wouldn't do it. Clearly, it was because he didn't like what was coming at him. Those punches were hurting him. If they weren't, he wouldn't have reacted the way he did. Buy hey, no need for you to counter me with an real argument.

I know exactly what you're talking about. PBF went for a body ounch and Zab countered him. Yeah, his glove touched the canvas and thats a knockdown, but that wouldnt have made it a 10-8 round. And the time when PBF got hit and covered up, yeah I admit PBF got buzzed, but he didnt get hurt. And all those punches after clearly missed.

I said Zab was hurt in that fight. It was pretty clear that he was hurt by many of those punches. Even Merchant commented about it. There was no singular moment where he was wobbled or about to go down. However, those punches were clearly hurting him. You don't go into a shell and purposely go low if you're not hurt.

My "real" argument is that Zab hasn't throw a punch after the 6th round in a fight in over 3 years.

Of course Mayweather's shots "hurt" it's not a pillow fight. But he never hurt Zab in a boxing sense. Never buckled Zab or wobbled him.

I dont think he was hurt, but he was getting worn down. But I do think Mayweather planned the fight exactly how it went

Yes it would have. Judah won the round and knocked him down. Wether it was a balence shot or not or wether he was hurt isn't the case he got knocked down.

    10-8 round.

So then your argumenet isn't that he wasn't hurt, it's that he wasn't buckeled or wobbled.

One thing is certain, they were seeing each other every day at the gym and Clottey didn't want to address Judah directly. Clottey made it seem like Zab went way out of his way to track him down and have a confrontation. Clottey makes it sound like Judah was disrespectful when Judah offered him a paying job. Clottey makes it sound like Judah flipped out for no reason when he turned down the offer. It seems incredibly obvious that Clottey was disrespectful and confrontational about the rejection. Judah may overreact, but you have to set him off.

Nope. Not at all. He didnt do enough to win a 10-8 round, even with that knockdown. The judges wouldnt give him 10-8. And even if the ref ruled it a knockdown, I think that Mayweather would've came back and brawled with Zab and made sure he even'd that round up.

I guess we just have different meaning of the word hurt.
