I think clottey put up a better fight,because he actually hurt margarito with those counter uppercuts and at times mad margarito look horrible and imagine,if his hand wasn't injured.The fact that clottey survived with one hand and still managed to bust margarito's face up let's me believe that i think clottey is a better fighter,than cotto.And also watch saturday how clottey beats the breaks off judah and another thing,clottey fights very good off the ropes and when cotto was there he was a sitting duck. Margarito broke a Boxrec record hitting Clottey so many times Cotto doent have as good a defense as Clottey but Margs was hitting Clottey at will at the end of the fight Clottey was not impressive at all it seemed like he would have 2-3 good shots then Margs would land 20 on his head
Clottey was busting Margarito's ass in the beginning of that fight - before hurting his hands. I would love to see the rematch - which just might happen. If Mosley wins and takes a different fight - I'm pretty sure Clottey would be next in line for Margarito - cause it makes a lot of business sense to Arum. I'm taking Clottey over Judah - then get ready for the rematch.
Margarito was throwing punches like a mad man this fight but what people don't realize is that he wasn't 100% healthy for this fight. He almost pulled out of it due to twisting his ankle and he supposedly had terrible sparring partners for this fight. This clearly was not anything close to his best performance. I think its interesting to ponder if Margarito was 100%, would he have TKO'd Clottey? It's poosible. And if he did that, when would it have been? The Margarito that TKO'd Cotto would have done the same to Clottey. Then its interesting to think about who would performed better vs Margarito in their TKO's to him....Cotto or Clottey.
Clottey is so god dam boring. To watch him fight inside his shell is awful. He never steps it up, doesnt have that one KO punch. Does the same **** over and over again. Broken hand of not Margarito will do the same and throw 1500 punches if he has to. If the guy has soft brittle hands then he shouldnt be boxing.
Funny how the only fight Clottey ever complained of hand problems is the Margarito fight. It is getting to be a rather tedious excuse.You lost, get over it Mrs. Clottey! All you have to do is beat Zab Saturday, and you'll get another big chance.
I dont know how its a tedious excuse. He told his corner his hand was hurt. He was going to quit right there in the middle of the fight because of it. Our hands are some of the weakest bones on our bodies. Any way. ODVIOUSLY Clottey put up the better fight. HE DIDNT GET KO'd!! He went the distance and lost a close fight. Which could have been a draw.
Clottey gave Margarito more to think about and a better fight. He was actually able to hurt Margarito, last the distance, and leave a generally excellent impression on the public.
:good 100% Margarito knocks Clottey the **** out. I have no doubt. Cotto is obviously the one to go with. Despite the ending it was even going into the 11th. Clottey had 4 good rounds before he caved.
If Clottey didn't injury his hands, he would have I believe he would have one a clear UD. After Clottey take care of Judah, he will make the best of fighting Margarita again :yep
well if Cotto was't bleeding badly from his nose he could have won on points,, and thats why is a fight anything can happen. Margarito busted his nose early, and Clottey broke his hands hitting iron chin/head Margarito Give props to Margarito Thats coming from a Cotto fan :bbb :good
Funny, Margo is now 100% healty. However, his manager talked about him fighting Judah if Judah wins. Interestingly, no mention of Clottey.
