Clottey's style looks quite familiar.

It seems like he fights similar to Winky Wright.

Both arms employing an air-tight high guard while firing jabs and crosses.

And he likes opponents that comes to him rather than he has the one to chase.

Yeah. But his stance is just like Winky's. He has that same defense. Its just that he isn't as good with using it as Winky is.

Yeah, some kind of a tweaked style. His defense is not as good as Winky, but he has more power.

While the high guard defenses are the same, there styles are in fact different when you think about it. Wright is more of a defensive technician, Clottey is a rugged - pressure fighter with good technique.

Clottey utilizes hooks and uppercuts more often and more effectively then Wright.

I think Wright is moreso the straightshooter, jab - cross that the original poster pointed out, then Clottey.

Clottey is pristine at using angles to get off very accurate punches on the inside.

Clottey is willing to mix it up more then Wright.

Clottey from all evidence has an iron chin.

Only on the defensive side, offense is pretty different.

It's more like Ike Quartey who Winky got his style from.

Quartey was far better. Had a much better jab, better counter-punching, and better in-fighting.

    BINGO

Clottey fights just like Quartey use to. I think that Ike was more talented and skilled but Clottey seems to be stronger, and he throws more punches.

clottey is better prime for prime. His infighting is better, he can throw short shots better than ike. Just look at the his short right hands he was throwing against zab when they were close, they were a thing of beauty. Ike had the better jab though.

I agree it's very similiar to how Quartey fought, except Ike was superior in nearly every aspect. It makes alot of sense seeming they come from the same country.
