Clottey's style looks quite familiar.

Clottey is similar to Quartey with a better chin but less tenacious

I think it's more of a young boxing fan not knowing who Quartey is.

Clottey doesn't have nearly the jab Winky has though.

 

Especially in recent years. People keep referring to Wright as this guy that just walks around with his guard up... but has he really done that recently? No. He doesn't fight like that anymore. Earlier in his career he could box in the middle of the ring, and use that style. But these days his legs are TERRIBLE. Wright really tries to get his opponents on the ropes where they can't get away then unload on them. Wright doesn't really have enough power to make his opponents try to avoid this though, so its not very effective. Personally I think Wright should retire. He's still very talented, but his body doesn't allow him to fight in the style he needs to to win.

 

too much credit? i have been saying this since last year when people were still calling clottey a C level fighter like amsterdam. If anything he is starting to finally get the credit he deserves as an ELITE fighter who would beat ike prime vs prime. The difference being, clottey will win his fights where ike lost his. Time will tell who's legacy will be better, we already know who is better skillwise (clottey btw). And when this happens (like when he cleans out the welter division), you better ****ing beleive i will spam this ****ing board non stop and you guys will not hear the end of me. If you cant recognize his skill in there you are either one biased mother****er or a old, has been boxing fan who is living in the past - yeah right at you sweet pea.

 

i do know who quartey is i have seen many of his fights including ike v vargas, ike v de la hoya, ike v carr, ike v everybody he has fought. I know who he is, and although he fought competitivly against the top competition, he ****ing lost every time. Clottey wins and is more skilled. end of story.

Saying that Clottey is better than Winky, he is getting too much credit. I've been saying since 06 that Clottey would be a champ soon. But I'm not bout to say he's better than Winky.

 

if they both fought, prime v prime, clottey wins this one despite wright having the size advantage. It would be close dont get me wrong, but offensivley clottey has a better arsenal than wright. At 154 that is, i dunno about clottey fighting at 160.

Quartey beat better fighter's than Clottey ever did, he just didn't get some decisions his way. And why are people discrediting Ike's chin, the only time the man was hurt was when he was tired. Quartey would beat the living **** out of Clottey.
