Sould have renewed his visa? That is exactly what he was trying to do and was blatantly denied. Thats uncle Sam for you. If this was a U.S boxer, it would be labelled all kind of names, including enemies of the people and all that. Shame.

this is a ****ing embarassment for the US.

This is no better than the Arab countries who wouldn't allow Israeli tennis players to get a visa for the tournaments. And even the Arab Emirates changed their stance now.

****, this is some backwards ass ****.

Yeah, I don't understand how this could have happened.

It realls is as simple as Bob Arum making a phone call to his friend George Bush who can get him in touch with someone in the state department. Either Arum really isn't particular about helping him out, or The US Gov is being a bunch of dicks about it.

I think it's more Arum not really making an effort. He knows enough people to get the ****in ball rolling on this ****.

The chips are stacked against him! I hope he can come through and put in a good showing if he were to win, man that would be incredible!

Clottey is gonna whip that boy's ass with or without his trainer.:smoke

I just feel bad that he won't be here to witness it in person.

It really does just take a phone call.

Its sad that Arum would do this to HIS fighter.
If i was Clottey i would leave Arum after this fight. Its obvious he doesnt want Clottey to succeed and isnt even willing to help him out in his biggest fight.

the guys on this thread who are complaining about it probably don't even have a US passport.

I'm telling you, you need at least 8 to 12 months advance to clear this up.

Its ****ing ******ed that any country wouldn't allow athletes and their coaches into their country over petty political bull****.

Sports and politics don't mix. Why the **** does it take 8 to 12 months to get a visa? That's ****ing ******ed. Get with the program everything is computerized it should take no more than a couple of days. 2 weeks at the most.

i'm wondering if clottey will make the weight. he's huge at the weight as it is, and now with no trainer, it could be even harder to boil down.
