gees, maybe because it had something to do with 9/11. Do you honestly think you'd get a passport much less a VISA is a walk in the park?

And him being a trainer has nothing to do with it. the guy didn't get his sh*t in order.

Funny how people think "yeah, one phone call from Bob Arum and the people in Ghana are gonna magically get this thing solved...because he's uncle f'n bob.:patsch

Are you trying to be ****ing funny?

Bob Arum has already said that he is good friends with George Bush. That's not something I just pulled out my ass, like you just did with the Jesse Jackson bull****.

I never said it was Arum's fault. never. I just said that Arum could probably do more to possibly pull a few strings.

maybe you should buy a passport and see how long it takes for sh*t to get done. dumbass.

and the Jesse Jackson thing was very appropriate. Because whining and complaining about sh*t is the best way to get things done.

Not when you're dealing with government agencies. You whine and *****, you go to the end of the line.

I'd bet there are people with more compelling reasons to jump to the head of the line, it just depends on your perspective. Just because we are boxing fans we assume his situation could/should be expedited. The folks in charge of this stuff are under extreme pressure and scrutiny at the moment, especially when dealing with certain 'areas' of the world.

No it doesn't. It only takes that long if you go through regular means and want to wait, and even then it only takes about 6 months. But if you want to get it sooner all you have to do is go to the main passport building in your region with proof of your ticket and you can get it that day. Of course it will cost you roughly 200-500$ extra and probably a few hours of waiting in line and getting things ironed out, but it can be done. I know because I was given the option when I got mine a few years ago. Now that's for a passport. Not sure on the procedure of a Visa but you'd have to be very naive to think Arum couldn't pull some strings to allow Clottey's trainer into the country just for the fight and leave after it's over.

Arum doesn't care. He wants Pac to win. I'm going to laugh my ass off if it backfires and Clottey whips his ass anyway. Idk why, but I got a feeling there might be an upset..

This **** is sad for Clottey...What a good trainer to have in your corner. When is the last time Clottey hasn't fought in the U.S.???? Why in the **** wouldn't his trainer always be on top of his VISA, he knows he needs it. Very unprofessional.

If this fight was somewhere in Europe and roach couldn't get a visa the US would make a massive scene over it and blame Europe in trying to lower there chances of winning and calling it a disgrace etc...

Yea i guess my family hasnt spent thousands of dollars getting our residency here. Its time consuming yes but to get into the country it only takes a month at the most. And thats just because we didnt have all the paperwork ready so we had to wait for some documents to come in.

It seriously does not take much effort. Specially if you are going to train a professional fighter.

we were just common people and didnt take more than a month. I think 2 weeks is actually all it takes.

Everybody applying for a VISA will have a different story to tell. Why didn't he already have his renewed??
