Interesting. Clottey hasn't struck me as a guy who fiends for the next level as much as he claims he does. He sat on his heels when he should have been going for Cotto's throat. At the press conference for the Pacquiao fight the other day he seemed just glad to be there. I don't know if Clottey not having his trainer at this point is as bad as Clottey having Clottey, but it certainly doesn't help his chances.
Its almost as if boxing is a hobby for Clottey. Although i do remember back when he had just beaten Judah he said that it was his dream and always wanted to play professional soccer when he retired from boxing.
Clottey = opponent dude said on strikehearts he doesn't know where camp is going to held yet or who he's going to tap for sparring
He should offer himself as sparring partner for Pacquiao then. Seriously, this is a major snag for him. If he has problems keeping his workrate up with a complete training camp imagine what it would be like on fight night if didn't have a familiar hand in his corner in training.
its those african al queda terrorists..that's why. McCain could fix this up really quick if he wanted to. Clottey needs to talk to the right people.
This sounds bad. Clottey seems like a guy who's just desperate to have a big fight and knows that he won't be fully prepared. I wouldn't be surprised if he has problems with the weight if his camp is so disorganized.
Hes getting his biggest paycheck to date, $1 MILLION guranteed and a share in the PPV revenue. Name me 3 other fighters that hes guranteed to make more than that.
