Well he's still in single figures plus he is really busy this year. Plus, his other job as a contract killer keeps him up at night.
nah, that was a great fight, it was made at a time when not many welters were facing eachother and this match up opened up a lot of scenarios, plus this fight sealed what heart DLH had i always questioned him before this but it was a classic between two very good technicians, the way oscar was gritting his teeth and shoe shining at the end was funny
He's 25/26 and they want to move him along quickly. He'd be better off fighting every other month rather than every month if it means the opposition is tougher. After 3 or 4 fights talented fighters should step up past the 4 rounds anyway.
What?!Calderon drew?!What happend there, sorry I'm a bit late on this news but that bit of a shock ain't it??
From what I remember it was two very good fighters involved in a very mediocre fight; the action was ****/non-existent until the two KD's, and even after that it was no classic. Tentative as hell going through eight rounds. In my book it is no WW classic; in the modern era Margarito's fights with Williams, Mosely and Cotto were better (bricks or no bricks).
It was after clash of heads. I felt Mayol did enough but judges didn't. Wasn't a great fight. Calderon looked rather shaky at times and boxed cautiously and Mayol the taller man was coming in with head and caught him. Myself and a few others felt he could of went on but Calderon didn't and made a meal of it and got his way and fight went to scorecards.
Margarito/PW is under-rated.I was thinking that, despite the fact that people will be put off Margarito,he was always in good fights
