Guys anyone know what time this is on, just wondering if its live or delayed coverage with HBO doing the Chavez fight as there main call. Is it live in Canada anywhere does anyone know?
The HBO telecast starts at 10:15 EST and they're opening up with live coverage of Stevenson-Cloud. They're doing a split-site double header and since the Chavez fight is on the West coast, they're able to show both fights live. This is in the U.S., of course, no clue about television coverage in Canada.
lol every fight that is free for the usa but holds a top quebec fighter...its all ppv... i could never pay for ppv...the last ppv i watched was tyson vs mcneely...learned my lesson on that one...to pay a ppv and have it end before you finish your beer is not cool...id rather watch it from home(net, and no i got no links for nobody) or from my poker club playground poker... i personally hate ppv...i think between the ppv and the promoters/fighters always wanting more...its killing the sport
btw yes fight is in montreal, canada...event starts around 7...the pascal and adonis fights should start around 10 pm eastern
This should be a fun fight. If Cloud doesn't get starched early, he will put it on Stevenson. I don't think he will as he seems to have a pretty decent chin, and his only issues are with boxers. Stevenson will be there to fight, and that is all Cloud looks for. This should definitely be a good action packed night on HBO.
If you're in Canada as I am... it's ppv only in Quebec but blacked out on HBO Canada across the country. That fights in Canada are almost never shown across the country on regular television is preventing interest and growth in a 'domestic scene', as is established in the UK. English Canada seems to assume cagefighting is the surer sell, but I'm sure if Canadian boxing is showcased there'll be a greater interest in it. Quebec promoters putting every big fight on ppv for their own short-term profit are also to blame.
Nope. If anything, they'll show highlights. Sky Sports in the UK might show part of the undercard, though, since they're scheduled to go on air 1 hour and 15 minutes before HBO does.
Tonight is great for boxing Many good fights in the same night - but in different places. Montreal Card: Cloud/Stevenson Alvarez Pascal USA Chavez Jr/Vera Mayfield Magdaleno This is what made ufc popular. Many good fights in the same night. Boxing needs this. More events with a whole night of good fights. Not only a big fight. But a full night. If these six fights happen in same card, would be awesome. And imagine if this model were regular, every two week. Boxing would come back to be a major sports in the world.
Why is HBO saying taped telecast of Cloud vs Stevenson @ 10:15pm that is recorded earlier in the day in Montreal? Are you telling me @ 10:15, we are watching only a replay of it? At exactly what time (Live) does the Cloud vs Stevenson starts @ Montreal?????
