Have I heard wrong??when F.Shamrock said he was scared of Kimbo???seriously..

 

That was cheap hyping in my opinion....

 

Did you read my posts? Plenty of love for Gus from me, and even if he had sucked, I'd have given him a pass just for all of his college ball work.

 

If Kimbo loses, MMA is not dead. Kimbo Slice is not MMA. Anyone who is a true fan of MMA realizes this. It's only casual fans who don't follow the sport who think he is a signficant factor.
Elite XC is in trouble if they can't market a successful Kimbo Slice, but don't confuse that with MMA being in trouble.

 

Well theres reasons for this man. Most guys dont spend there 1st 20 fights fighting tomato cans to build up records like they usually do in boxing. In MMA top guys are fighting each other very quickly into there careers and obviously theres many more ways to win and lose fights. Randy Couture is 16-8 but considered one of the top 5 best ever and its because about 20 of those 24 fights come at a Championship level **** hes had about 15 Championship or interm Championship fights.

 

I've never heard the phrase " cup kick " used so many times on any card

 

Gus Johnson is awesome so much passion from this guy in all the sports he covers NFL,NCCA Basketball and now Elite XC the dude gos ****ing wild and I cant get enough of it. He also seems fairly knowledgable about the sport.

 

Here's something I just remembered after reading about it, what the **** was with Gary Shaw whispering to the fighters what to say into the mic? During the Villasenor interview you clearly see Shaw telling Joey exactly what to say to answer the questions. It was very Vince McMahon-ish.

 

That **** bothers me damnit let the ****ing fighters be themselves not puppets.
