How many years of predictable Klitchko wins did we have to endure ? They deserve their place in boxing history as legends but now we have a situation of a much more even playing field with several fighters all capable of beating each other I can't see any of them going down in history at this point in time, but that's what makes it fun. Should be a good next couple of years in the heavyweight division
Now that the Klits are 'gone', it's an open division like expected. There is no dominant fighter, there are a lot of contenders, so the division is fun.
Tyson Fury will go down in history as an ATG Anthony Joshua will go down in history as an ATG Luis Ortiz will go down in history as an ATG Deontay Wilder will go down in history as an ATG This era compares with the early to mid 90's. No, its not just because the Klits have gotten old....these guys are the real deal. Big mother ****ers with skills, stamina, chin, speed and power. It's a new, very exciting era in heavyweight boxing. It could be the new golden age in heavyweight boxing.
If you're an american, it's simply impossible to find ANY division without dominant american boxers exciting. Like, television tells you what you must like and dislike. But objectively, the HW division is GREAT. There's a clear top dog, but tons of prospects and a couple paper champions. Every matchup is exciting, those guys are all immense
