Hatton obviously had no business even being in the ring with Mayweather. He only had one possible way to win, and Floyd quickly neutralized that with a good stiff elbow to the throat and good clinching and counterpunching. I like Hatton, but ever since Kosta Tszyu Ricky has become a very one dimensional fighter. In the end, would him winning actually have been good for the sport? Would you rather have a bunch of young fighters trying to emulate Hatton's rough housing, wrestling, aggressive style or would you rather see a bunch of younger fighters trying to emulate Floyd's slick technical offensive and defensive style? Hatton's fighting style may be entertaining, but Floyd's is simply a better showcase of the sweet science.
Yeah, it is good that Money May keeps winning, his personality and skill brings people to the sport, and is a constant reminder that boxing is superior to MMA.
