You don't defeat Barrera, Morales, and Marquez on excitement alone. Anybody here will tell you, Selfkill isn't Pacquiao's biggest fan, but the guy has ability. As a die hard Barrera fan, I'd be doing my fighter an injustice if I was to claim the man who is 2-0 over him has no ability whatsoever.

that's a good way to look at it. write down the names of the fighters he has defeated. and if you establish pac a an ordinary fighter, then the fighters he defeated are just as ordinary as him, or worse.

    i agree with your assessment

That's not entirely true though is it.

If you are conceding the fact Manny isn't number one in terms of skill then you must mean in terms of resume? Although he has a great one, I think you have to take into account both Morales and Barrera were past their prime, and the two Marquez fights could have gone either way. I know people will debate forever whether or not Barrera was past it, but in my opinion at least, he was.

    Still, great resume.

He's not even P4P #1 right now you doof.
In my books, the first fight was a pretty CLEAR UD for Marquez, the second fight was a draw, and I am being nice to Pacman with the draw.

if it makes sense i won't. i'm no hater. i just am keen on giving fighter their due respect. you can argue all you want about jmm winning the last fight. fact remains that pac won it and that there were a lot of swing rounds that could have gone either way. another fact is that a error on a judge's part cost pac the first fight. he should also have won that by SD.

if you still think jmm is way ahead of pacman in your p4p, then it's your choice. i just want to see the other names you out in front of pacman. if they make sense, i'll give you props, if they don't then i'd know that you say **** and can't back it up. that simple.

    I disagree.

All fighters are different. Muhammad Ali wasn't able to fight at the top of his game for as long as Hopkins, but does that mean Ali was in his prime against Holmes and Spinks? 'Course not. Every fighter is different, and considering Barrera had already had some wars leading up to the Paquiao fight (Mckinney, Morales x2) it's fair to suggest that his prime would be shorter than the likes of Hopkins, who's never really had a war like the first Morales fight. I'm not making excuses. Barrera lost both fights outright, and Pacquiao deserves all the praise in the world for pulling it off. However, to say Pacquiao is the greatest of his generation based on resume is ridiclious. I felt he lost both Marquez fights though, so I'm bound to disagree. It's just opinion.
