very tough and entertaining fighter to watch, but just isn't getting in the ring with anyone of note for far too long. he's just wasting his prime years.
no one wants to fight him! miranda,cloud etc would be good fights but he should be in the super six though! greens entry over bika is a joke,if anyone deserves a place in it its him! him vs ward,froch etc would be fights id pay to see,maybe taylor will give him a shot if he regroups.
Bika is one loss away to becoming relegated to gatekeeper level. As long as he only loses to proven world class fighters, he is still a contender. If he loses to other contenders, like Green, he goes down. Bika knows he will only have one or two more chances to earn a good purse, and the way he fights, you cannot see him fighting more than another 5-6 fights before retiring. So he's got to be smart. Waiting to fight Bute on HBO in front of 15,000 in attendance probably makes more sense than fighting Green and still not getting to be in the Super Six if he had won. Someone like Miranda would have been given the slot instead.
the longer he stays out of the ring the less chance of good money, harder to sell tickets , less chance of the top guys wanting to fight him etc. etc.
