It looks kinda weird I know. What I was wondering about is do other coaches teach stuff like that?

Oh course. Every coach has there own little techniques, tips, and applications that they teach. That is of course if you get a good coach who does his job right, many kids nowadays get bull**** coaches that half ass teach them and are only there for the money.

Yeah well... mine obviously teaches some of his tricks. I was specifically talking about deliberately missing punches. I think I have a good coach btw, he trained the Dutch Olympic team as well as some national level champions.

All that drill would do for me is leave me wide open for a right hand.

Thanks, that was the reason I asked. I would have more faith in a feint, as long as he falls for it. The feint takes less time. Perhaps it's not as bad if you move to your right while jabbing, since you would be moving away from his right hand.

Yeah, it would be better to feint a jab and hope he swats at it then be quick with the hook.

He looks like he's about to roll over and die towards the end.

Basically feint with the right hand, so your opponent moves into the left hook you throw next.

Someone try this and post whether it works, or if it's just a crock of ****.
