This is exactly why Strikeforce cannot match the UFC , Werdum beats Fedor , Werdum fights Overeem , whats difficuilt about that , Fedor or should i say M1 are calling all the shots in this organisation its ****in embarassing , Coker may of well said when M1 decide what we want to happen with Fedor we'll let you know how to plan your next HW champions title defence :lol: , and then you have Werdum claiming Overeem is a step backwards because he's beat him already and wants the Fedor re match , its really an embarrasing situation for Strikeforce , takes me back to the Overeem Rogers match , that again was a joke and it should have been Fedor then , since he lost , it should now be Werdum !!! its as simple as that ....................

Strikeforce should start building up some of their heavyweights besides Fedor, Werdum, Overeem, Arlovski, Bigfoot and Rogers.

They have Daniel Cormier (2-0), Shane Del Rosario (9-0), Ron Sparks (5-0) and Bobby Lashley (5-0) just waiting to liven things up.

**** M1 global, The winner of that fight was suppose to get Overeem and because everyone thought Fedor would win it would be Fedor-Overeem. then Werdum wins and all of the suddan things change and M1 wants an immediate rematch. If that happened I wouldn't be surprised if overeem said **** it and threw the belt in the garbage.

It's very poor form. Werdum vs. Overeem should be the next fight.

Fedor should take a fight against a veteran like Bigfoot and try to bounce back with a win before re-matching Werdum, regardless of who wins the Werdum/Overeem title fight.

what the **** guys? As if Overeem was the champion? When you have a guy like Fedor who fights 10 years undefeated he EARNS the right to an immediate rematch.

Fedor was the real champion and anyone with half a brain knows it. Overeem just had a belt but it never meant anything.

Also, Werdum WANTS a rematch. It isn't as if m1 is forcing him to rematch instead of fighting for some awesome title (as if beating Fedor twice wouldn't mean 100 times more than beating Fedor and then beating Overeem, especially when you consider the way Werdum one by a super fast sorta flash submission)

    2 things....

1 - Werdum wants this rematch. (and he even insisted)
    2 - Even as a fan of fedor's..i think it's bull****...

It's bull**** because even though fedor deserves a rematch...and even though fighting against him is always the ultimate challenge...Overeem is still strikeforce's champion...and logically , Werdum should and has to fight Overeem.

Yes , Werdum already defeated Overeem in the past but this isn't pride anymore , we're in 2010 and it's ****ing strikeforce..Werdum should jump at the opportunity because he has the potential to win this ****ing belt...But he's playing a risky game here. I doubt Fedor will make the same mistake...i seriously ****ing doubt it.

One more thing...Strikeforce needs to add another fighter...BAD...

Sure there's also big foot...but they need to add Kharitonov. There's rumors , i hope this is real.. And they should also try to bring Josh Barnett

The thing is, the fight was clearly marketed as winner fights Overeem for the title, anticipating that Fedor would win.

Of course Fedor should get a chance to avenge his loss due to his accomplishments, especially since both men and a lot of fans want it, including myself. But Overeem is a real talent and he should stay active too.

Fedor has said he wants to return quickly, so let him fight someone else in a couple of months time and have the Overeem-Werdum title fight meanwhile. Then have Fedor rematch Werdum around December/January.

Who is that strikeforce loon that's doing the interview? He talks like everyone's standing 3 miles away, his head wobbles when he talks, and he laughs like he's Dwight Schrute on ephedrine.

lets be honest, being the goat and undefeated in how ever many fights i think fedor deserves a rematch. there are always exceptions to every rule

For the legitimacy of the SF title, Werdum has to face Overeem. It's not about who we THINK is the best. The title should be used as a yard stick as to who IS the best.

Allowing Fedor to come in as the number made sense but after the destruction of Rogers, Overeem established legitimacy as the champ.

This mess is all Dana Whites fault.

Go Strikeforce! Lets have an Overeem/Rogers rematch in the same card.
