This is a good first step, now we just have to see if this will come to fruition. Even though Mayweather-Pacquiao isn't as big as it would have been 09-10, it is still the biggest fight by far for both of their legacies right now. I'd love to see Canelo-Pacquiao too.

Mayweather - Pacquiao would stay make far more, although I agree, I don't ever see that fight happening. I'm not so sure Pacquiao, Alvarez is realistic, as Alvarez is already seriously struggling making weight, he missed it in his last fight. I think Alvarez is ready to move up to middleweight to be honest.

Pac needs the funds and a Canelo win will boast hum up the ranks.

Arum probably initiated talks cause he ran out of rematches when JMM said no.

It's a crazy fight to make. Alvarez couldn't make 154 in his last fight and Pac was well under the 147 lb weight limit against Bradley.

Pac would kick Canelo's ass easily if he wasn't giving up such a size advantage. With the size advantage, it's an incredibly dangerous fight for Pac. We're looking at 20 lbs during fight night with a 4 inch height advantage.

Pacquiao is 5'6 1/2, Alvarez is listed at 5'9, although that's bogus. He is 5'8, exact same as Mayweather.

Pacquiao would get KO within 6 rounds. I love the guy but this is out of his league. i mean hes only fought 1 prime fighter in the last 5 years!

Oscar needs to be smart. You never make peace with a snake, because snakes aren't peaceful creatures. He will bite again. Arum only wants to reconcile because he's in need, and thats the worse time to make peace, because once they don't need you, they bite again. Arum's running out of fighters and his fighters are opening their eyes and leaving. Let the ship sink. Just let it sink!
