He's never had an 8 rounder, and fighting in at least one bout of 8 rounds or more is a requirement to fight for the Irish title.

The masters belts were created for the small hall fighters, not for someone with title ambition

Where is the John Charles Stadium?

Do you mean Elland Road Stadium (which has a John Charles Stand) or the John Charles Centre of Sport?

    ;)

Bruce Baker, Chairman of the Professional Boxing Promoters Association

Wrote an article in our Say...

Both the British Masters and International championships is to give promoters an option to promote their fighters against foreign competition. The value of this is that their charges gain valuable experience over a championsip distance against creditable competition. The real value in our titles is that it enables small-hall promoters to promote championship boxing at a sensible level without the aid ov television.
We know our titles are stepping stones to greater things. There are now a growing number of our former champions who have gone on to win a Lonsdale Belt and other titles.
We believe the Masters and Interntional titles are a positive contribution to professional boxing.
