Sweet Pea was greater than Chavez IMO, but it is debatable.

Manny is definitely the greatest P4P fighter since Whittaker.

Meh, depends what way you view things. Whitaker is a better fighter than Pacquiao, Manny is a greater fighter than Sweet Pea.

Personally I think Roy Jones was the best since then - because he was offensively destructive too - while Sweet Pea was more the defensive genius without the devestating performances that Jones could deliver against the likes of Montell Griffin rematch.

I think Manny is too flawed to be the greatest since then .

Surely as good as Messrs Pacquiao, Chavez and Leonard may of been, none of them are beating Lennox Lewis in his prime...

Thus the best fighter, if not Lewis, is surely another Heavyweight?

RJJ, I think it's him carrying on hindering his legacy!

As good as Jones Jr was, what hinders him, is not having a worth while legacy!

Because for what ever reason, he did not fight the fights he needed to in his prime, to establish an excellent/great one.

It is pointing the difference between the best period, which was the question, and the imaginary bias/handicap we use to measure fighters of different weights against each other (pound for pound), of which there is no mention of in the title.

Of course, but it should be noted.

For instance, whether you are 5' 2" and 130lbs or 7' 2" and 330lbs, you both play Basketball together...:hey

Yeah - Colin Hart was saying - Manny was the best - period - meaning he would flatten Lennox Lewis if they both met in their prime.
