I don't have the link but he says that "first he is a convicted ******" and then goes on to cite ear biting and fouls. This guy is a spaz. Anyone from the UK rate this guy as a writer?
Colin Hart is a v.good writer And a Boxing-Xpert. :deal I AGREE with him. :thumbsup BUT why dont you agree Jazzo, you a MEGA Tyson-hater just like me! :?:think Foreman Hooooooooooook!:hat:rasta:smoke
People who vote no for tyson are hypocrites, there are a lot of criminals and immoral people in the hall fo fame, and it also isnt that difficult to get in. That tyson isnt even a lock is a discgrace to me. When we judge a guy it should be purely on his accomplishments in the ring. Only thing he did wrong is biting holyfield but his accomplishments outweigh that fact. Maybe the writer jsut want the lights on him or something. La motta atmitted he took a dive and got in, he was also a total psycho, ray robinson punched his wife into a miscarriage got in, duran quit druing a fight, monzon was a total sociopath and murderer. Tyson deserves to be in, in my eyes he already had the position locked before 1990
Tyson a lock?? :rofl:rofl:rofl How many PRIME ATG's did he beat?? NONE. :deal Foreman Hooooooooooooook!:smoke:rasta
A lot of less significant fighter s got in easily, tyson is only being discussed because of his sometimes weird behaviour. his boxingsskills and acomplishments are a certainty. Chavez didnt beat atg either but he got in.
Tysons win over Holmes in 88 was better then Lewis's win over Tyson and on par with lewis vs Holyfield. Lewis's wins over ATG are Tyson and Holyfield and one was shot to pieces and the other past prime. The Holmes that Tyson beat was past prime but still very capable and went on to secure 2 more title shots and gave ray mercer his first loss. Was Spinks an ATG? Certainly at LHW.
Colin Hart is a top jorno but he's also an old school Ali lover & Leonard as well. He's never rated Tyson. I like him as he's a straight talking no nonsence in yer face type of jorno but like all from his generation, todays can do no good in comparison to Ali & co.
I thought we've been over this before in boxing and other sports. But every couple of years some ******ed moral crusader has this argument that they won't vote this guy in because of whatever. The Hall of Fame has nothing to do with their personal lives, it matters what they did for the sport and that is it. I mean if we went retroactively through the hall and started pulling guys out for being bad citizens the hall would be just about empty. Maybe a bust of Lennox Lewis and George Foreman and that might be it.
