Colin Hart not voting Tyson into Hall of Fame.

If we go by the way sports writers vote in other Hall of fames it makes sense not voting for Tyson into the HOF. Take for example Pete Rose in baseball and Alomar's spitting incident affected him as well. But Tyson got into the HOF so it doesnt matter anymore, his induction is well deserved.

 

Holyfield bit a fighter as well. People forget about that.

It was further confirmed to me when he didnt vote for Tyson to go into the boxing hall of fame

Tyson was a huge positive influence on the sport, everyone knew who he was and he was so destructive and interesting to watch, he created a real buzz in the 80's and 90's. He brought more new fans to the sport than any other fighter in that era.

Colin Hart, when on sky sports voting for the best pound for pound fighters was quoted saying "If you're white you cant fight". What a ridiculous comment

He is ridiculous. He was a so called boxing expert who dismissed Khan as being chinny and that he would never win a world title.

Then Colin Hart is wrong. Tyson deserves his spot...and I'm talking as someone that does not have him in his personal top ten heavyweight ATG list (let's face it, it's splitting hairs anyway with such a tiny list, as if being #10 means you're brillant and #11 an also-ran).

In terms of his persona, public recognition and sheer money made alone he would qualify, before you even throw in the tiny matter of all the fights he won and devastating knockouts he inflicted.

 

tyson is in the boxing hall of fame, and quite deservedly so. so **** what colin hart says...and plus his reasons for not having mike in there were 'due to his exploits outside of the ring' what a shitty excuse......
