Never was that good. Very well manufactured. It's damn shame Fury wasn't the one who got to embarrass him first, it would have been a devastation job. Totally destroyed. AJ has weaknesses in the areas that you cannot improve His chin is shaky. He isn't the smartest & is mentally poor. He has bad stamina & his feet are relatively slow. None of the GOATS have this cumulation of weaknesses. The best AJ could have achieved was what Wlad did for 10 years...but look who Wlad beat nobodies. Stiffs who gets knocked over for fun. He has a punchers chance against Usyk. Wilder has a better chance because he's razor fast, pretty much unavoidable. Ruiz & Usyk didn't even use smack talking and gamesmanship to rattle AJ. Imagine how badly Fury would have got to him? He might have cried!
Wilder's handspeed diminished after the first Fury fight because he bulked up massively in both rematches. In fights 2 and 3 his handspeed was even slower than Joshua's real talk. Rewatch the fights. Wilder used to be much faster but not anymore
Yes because I'm a gambling addict and my 20% odds are worth the glory of his punchers chance...and it makes Furys life easy as hell if AJ wins. baHAHAHA
Joshua doesn't even have a punchers chance because Usyk has an iron chin and he's incredibly slick. A massive puncher like Ruddock or Wilder always has around a 15% chance against the elites. Joshua's chances are lower
I don't mind the guy, I have always been a Fury fan but he's nowhere near the top 6! Hart put him at 6! Better than Lennox Lewis? C'mon and that's modern day not to mention the old timers. He's also wrong about how a Fury- Usyk fight would play out. Hart never actually answered the interviewers question as to what fighting attributes and skills the others had that Fury doesn't. He just mentioned that they had better opposition and experience, anybody could offer that opinion. I like his opinion on Holmes and I agree that Fury gets beat by all those names.
Well AJ has definitely got a punchers chance. Just as long as he's prepared to roll the dice big time. **** or bust. It's heavyweight boxing after all. I hope he does go all in mate.
I think for sure Hart was right about AJ being gun shy, he's not the same fighter he was and he would have to be to even compete with Usyk, he has more of a chance against Fury than in an Usyk rematch.
I disagree. He was beaten by Usyk who is one of the best fighters in the world and he even managed to win a few rounds. I would still favor AJ over any heavyweight besides Usyk, Fury and Wilder.
Hart is of a particular ethnic extraction and works in the media, thus he's not a fan of Fury. He's also ancient and understandably prefers the fighters of his day. Referring to Usyk as a "blown up cruiser" and thus "not a great HW" is funny considering he's bigger than Hart's top 5 cruiser-heavies.
Claiming that a sport hasn't improved (and more extreme, has even got worse) in 50 years isn't a fact; it's a claim that goes against all objective measurement in all other athletic fields.
Please point out where exactly did i say that boxing hasn`t improved? I said Fury has not fought fighters of the same calibre as those of earlier years.Of coarse boxing has improved in general but the current crop of heavyweights with the exception of a couple are very poor.
I'm not going to write him off just yet. I find a lot of the people writing him off now are the ones who overrated him to begin with. They never could get their head around why when he stepped up to better opponents he couldn't bulldoze them all inside 3 rounds. He was never that good. But he's a decent heavyweight, a formidable heavyweight, and it is still possible he could improve. Even if he loses to Usyk again in his next fight. People spend a lot of time talking about his 'damaged mindset' and his 'fragile mind' and his 'fear' and 'lack of confidence' and how he 'was never the same after X. Y and Z', but it's all psychobabble. He'll win and lose fights based on how good his opponents are. Some guys he'll beat every time, some guys he'll lose to every time, and some guys he's more like 50-50 against.
