He does know his stuff and often reads a fight pretty well beforehand so I do respect his views in the main. I just find that on occasion (like a lot of old-timers, including me increasingly so!) he seems to glorify the past and can be a bit curmudgeonly or grudging about modern fighters.

I'm not that keen on him, but respect the fact that he knows his boxing, and is always prepared to say what he thinks, and back up his opinions with facts.

Better that than the constant nuthugging on display on Sly Sports.

That's why I like him. Pac Hatton fight he was predicting a Pac KO and the others were looking at him as if to say "don't rock the boat Colin agree with us"

I only know him from Sky as I refuse to go near the piece of **** for which he writes, but whilst there's an air of pompousity which emanates from most of his pours, he has his astute moments as far as I can tell.

i dont like him, but he speaks a lot of sense, ie. in regards to British fighters saying they prob will always lose to top level fighters which is usually true unfortunately

hes a ****ing twat. the man is actually detrimental to the development of the sport in the uk

i remember nicky piper looking at him like he was a wanker on sky sports and cut across him to disagree. it gave a report about a ireland v scotland amateur match. when it came back to the studio something was said along the lines of well colin what do you think. then this ***** proceeds to run down their ability of all boxers on both sides and says that they wont do anything in the am game.

these squads included craig mcewan, the world rated roach trained middleweight, ken egan the olympic bronze light heavy, paddy barnes bronze medal beijing 2008, eamon okane former european middleweight champ. another occasion in the greatest of all time chat with reg gutt and barry mc, his opinions were laughable and he looks at every fighter in the distant past whom he could only have seen on grainy footage and gives it the ol back in the day chat.

in the oh so eloquent words of the black mamba Roger Mayweather, Colin Hart "dont know **** about boxing"
